The Golden Triangle with Udaipur is a popular private tour of India that covers the iconic cities of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, along with the romantic city of Udaipur. The tour includes visits to UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Amber Fort. In Udaipur, explore the City Palace, Lake Pichola, and the Monsoon Palace. The tour also provides an opportunity to experience the rich history, culture, and cuisine of these destinations.

 

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi airport, you will be assisted and transferred to your hotel. After breakfast, embark on a city tour of Old and New Delhi, where you will visit the historic Red Fort, the iconic Jama Masjid, the bustling Chandni Chowk, and the Raj Ghat, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. Drive past the impressive President House, Parliament, and India Gate, before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 2: Delhi - Agra (210kms)

After breakfast, drive to Agra and check in to your hotel. Then, visit the world-renowned Taj Mahal, an ivory-white marble mausoleum built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Next, visit Agra Fort, the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638, and Itmad-ud-Daula Tomb, commissioned by Nur Jahan for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg. Spend the night at your hotel in Agra.

 

Day 3: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Abhaneri - Jaipur (245kms)

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri, an abandoned red sandstone city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit its impressive buildings, including Diwan-E-Khas hall, Jodha Bai Palace, Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal, and Buland Darwaza. Next, visit the small village of Abhaneri, famous for India's deepest, largest, and most amazing step well, and a Hindu Temple. Continue driving to Jaipur and check in to your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the vibrant local markets of Pink City, overnight in Jaipur.

 

Day 4: Jaipur

After breakfast, you'll start exploring Jaipur with a visit to the stunning Amber Fort, followed by Jaigarh Fort. From there, you'll visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory, Hawa Mahal, and Sisodia Rani Garden. You'll also visit the Birla Temple and explore the famous bazaars of Pink City. In the markets, you'll find an amazing mix of traditional Rajasthani handicrafts, jewelry, textiles, and souvenirs. You can also enjoy some delicious local street food. Spend another night at your hotel in Jaipur.

 

Day 5: Jaipur - Pushkar - Udaipur (145kms)

After breakfast, drive to Udaipur via Pushkar, where you will visit Pushkar Lake, one of the holiest lakes in the country, along with the Brahma and Savitri Temples. In the nearby city of Ajmer, visit the architecturally rich Nasiyan Jain Temple and the Khwaja Dargah E Sharif, tomb of the revered Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti. Admire the historic Adhai Din Ka Jhonpda, one of the oldest mosques in India and the oldest surviving monument in Ajmer, and Anasagar Lake, built by Arnoraja, the grandfather of Prithviraj Chauhan. Arrive in Udaipur, check in to your hotel, and enjoy an evening boat ride on Lake Pichola. Overnight at the hotel in Udaipur.

 

Day 6: Udaipur

After breakfast, visit the City Palace & Museum, a grand palace complex overlooking the Lake Pichola, and the Jagdish Temple, a beautiful Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Next, visit the Saheliyon Ki Bari, a tranquil garden adorned with fountains and marble elephants, and the Bada Mahal, a palace built for the royal hunting trips. Then, visit the Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace, a hilltop palace offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Continue to the Ahar Cenotaphs, a group of royal tombs with intricate carvings, and the Bharatiya Lok Kala Museum, a museum showcasing traditional Rajasthani arts and crafts. In the evening, explore the vibrant bazaars of Udaipur, including Hathi Pol Bazar, Bada Bazar, Chetak Circle, and Shilpgram, a craftsman's village. Later, enjoy a folk dance show called Dharohar at Bagore ki Haveli, a heritage museum located on the waterfront of Lake Pichola.

 

Day 7: Udaipur - Delhi (flight)

After breakfast, transfer to the Udaipur airport for a flight to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be assisted with inter-terminal transfer and transit use, if required, before boarding a connecting flight for your onward destination.
