8:00 am: Your journey begins as you meet your private guide and driver at your hotel in Ahmedabad. Prepare to embark on an enriching excursion to explore two architectural gems in Gujarat.

10:00 am: Arrive at the awe-inspiring Modhera Sun Temple, a masterpiece of Hindu architecture constructed during the 11th century. Your knowledgeable guide will provide historical insights into the temple's significance as you admire its intricate carvings and stunning design.

As you step into the temple complex, you'll be greeted by the magnificent Surya Kund, an elaborate stepwell adorned with over 1000 sculptures of Hindu deities, celestial beings, and animals. These meticulously crafted sculptures showcase the exceptional craftsmanship of the Solanki era.

At the heart of the complex stands the main temple dedicated to the Hindu sun god, Surya. Delve into the temple's unique design, which allows the first rays of the equinox sunrise to illuminate the idol of Surya in the sanctum sanctorum. Learn about the temple's architectural significance and the rituals conducted within.

12:30 pm: Depart for Rani Ki Vav Stepwell, located approximately 60 km from Modhera. A break for lunch awaits you.

1:30 pm: After a satisfying meal, explore Rani Ki Vav, a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated as one of India's most exquisite stepwells. Commissioned by Queen Udayamati in memory of King Bhimdev I during the 11th century, this stepwell is a testament to remarkable ancient engineering.

As you approach Rani Ki Vav, be captivated by its grand entrance leading to a descending flight of steps. The stepwell's dimensions are impressive, measuring about 64 meters in length, 20 meters in width, and over 27 meters in depth. It features seven levels of steps adorned with more than 500 sculptures depicting Hindu deities, mythological stories, and scenes from everyday life.
