Day 1: Arrival in Paro - Half Day Sightseeing

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, a warm welcome awaits you as your guide transfers you to your hotel. In the afternoon, embark on a captivating half-day sightseeing tour of Paro. Begin by visiting the National Museum of Bhutan, located in the ancient watchtower of Paro Dzong. Explore its impressive collection of traditional Bhutanese art and historical relics. Day 2: Paro to Punakha (115 km)

Start your day with a scenic drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. On the way, savor the breathtaking views from Dochula Pass, at an altitude of 3,100 meters, where you'll witness the iconic 108 memorial chortens. Continue your journey and stop at Chimi Lhakhang, the "Temple of Fertility," dedicated to Drukpa Kunley, the "Divine Madman." In the evening, explore the majestic Punakha Dzong, situated at the confluence of the Mo Chu and Pho Chu rivers. Marvel at its grand architecture and serene surroundings. Overnight in Punakha.

 

Day 3: Punakha to Thimphu (75 km)

After breakfast, proceed to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan, which now serves as a language school. Continue to Thimphu and check in at your hotel. In Thimphu, explore the National Memorial Chorten, a Tibetan-style stupa honoring Bhutan's third king. Day 4: Thimphu

After breakfast, journey to the base of Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest) for a thrilling hike. Trek through pine forests, enjoying breathtaking Paro valley views. The hike takes 2-3 hours. Arrive at Taktsang Monastery, perched on a cliff at 900 meters. Explore the monastery and its sacred caves where Guru Rinpoche meditated. Soak in the spiritual atmosphere and incredible scenery. Descend and return to Paro.

 

Day 6: Paro - Departure

After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to Bhutan. Your guide assists you with the check-out process and ensures a smooth departure from Paro International Airport. Depart with cherished memories of Bhutan.
