Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Upon your arrival at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, our representative will greet you warmly. They will assist with immigration procedures and transfer you to your chosen hotel in a comfortable private vehicle. Spend the day recovering from jet lag, exploring the vibrant city, or visiting nearby attractions like India Gate, a war memorial, or Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage site showcasing ancient Indo-Islamic architecture.

 

Day 2: Delhi to Leh (Flight)

After an early breakfast, we'll escort you to the airport for your flight to Leh. The flight itself offers stunning aerial views of the Himalayas, and upon landing in Leh, you'll be greeted by our representative. They'll transfer you to your hotel, where you'll be welcomed with a traditional Ladakhi butter tea. Given the altitude of Leh (3500m above sea level), it's essential to take it easy today. We recommend resting, sipping on more butter tea, and acclimatizing.

 

Day 3: Exploring Leh

Post a nutritious breakfast, your sightseeing adventure begins with a visit to the 16th-century Leh Palace. This nine-story structure offers panoramic views of Leh and showcases traditional Tibetan architecture. Next, visit Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, an ancient Buddhist monastery perched atop a hill. Apart from its religious significance, the monastery offers breathtaking vistas of Leh and the snow-clad Stok Kangri mountain range. Wind up your day with a visit to Shanti Stupa, a gleaming white structure inaugurated by the Dalai Lama in 1991. From this vantage point, witness a mesmerizing Ladakhi sunset over the Indus Valley.

 

Day 4: Leh to Nubra Valley (140 km)

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a picturesque drive to Nubra Valley via the Khardung La Pass. At 5602m, it's one of the world's highest motorable roads. En route, enjoy the mesmerizing views of the Karakoram Range and its glaciers. As you reach Nubra, visit the Deskit Monastery, home to a majestic statue of Maitreya Buddha. Later, experience the unique landscapes of Hunder Sand Dunes. Here, you can enjoy a camel safari on the rare double-humped Bactrian camels, an experience unique to this region.

 

Day 5: Nubra Valley Exploration

Start your day with a visit to Ensa Monastery for a panoramic aerial view of the Nubra river valley and its stunning landscapes. Continue to the serene Trisha/Yarab Tso Lake, believed to have wish-fulfilling properties. Don't miss the therapeutic experience of Panamik Hot Springs. Here, natural sulphur springs offer relaxation and healing properties. Explore ancient Petro glyphs near Charasa Fort, showcasing Ladakh's ancient history and culture. Adventurous souls can opt for an optional hike to Sumur Sand Dune for breathtaking panoramic views.

 

Day 6: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake (160 km)

After breakfast amidst the scenic beauty of Nubra, set off for the awe-inspiring Pangong Lake via the Chang La Pass. At 5360m, Chang La is one of the world's highest motorable passes. As you descend towards Pangong, marvel at the lake's surreal blue-green hues contrasting with the barren mountains. Upon arrival, check into your camp by the lake's shore. Spend the evening stargazing or taking a peaceful lakeside walk, soaking in the serenity.

 

Day 7: Pangong Lake to Leh (160 km)

After breakfast with a view of the shimmering lake, start your journey back to Leh. En route, visit the majestic Hemis Monastery, one of the wealthiest and largest Buddhist monasteries in Ladakh, renowned for its annual Hemis Festival. Return to Leh by evening, where the rest of the day is free for leisure or exploring the vibrant local markets filled with Tibetan handicrafts, thangkas (Buddhist paintings), and Pashmina shawls.

 

Day 8: Leh to Likir/Alchi (60 km)

Today's excursion takes you to Likir Monastery, known for its awe-inspiring Buddha statue and panoramic views of the Indus Valley. Continue to Alchi Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its 11th-century murals, intricate carvings, and ancient scriptures. The Alchi complex also houses three temples: the Dukhang (Assembly hall), the Sumtseg, and the Temple of Manjushri. Return to Leh by evening and unwind at your hotel.

 

Day 9: Likir to Kargil via Lamayuru (175km)

After a sumptuous breakfast, set off for Kargil. En route, visit Likir Monastery again to marvel at its 25-feet tall Maitreya Buddha statue and attend a morning prayer session if timing permits. Continue to Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest and largest in Ladakh, known for its annual masked dance festival. Explore its ancient temples and caves, and if you're lucky, interact with the resident monks. On your way to Kargil, marvel at the ancient rock-carved temples of Mulbekh. Reach Kargil by evening and check into your hotel.

 

Day 10: Kargil to Srinagar via Sonamarg (220km)

Post breakfast, depart for Srinagar. Pay homage at Drass War Memorial, a tribute to the brave soldiers of the Kargil War. As you reach Sonamarg, revel in its serene landscapes, verdant meadows, and snow-clad peaks. Continue to Srinagar, where you'll check into your hotel overlooking the iconic Dal Lake, surrounded by the mighty Himalayas.

 

Day 11: Srinagar Sightseeing

Begin your day with a visit to the Mughal Gardens. Nishat Bagh, with its terraced gardens and beautiful fountains, Shalimar Bagh with its mesmerizing chinar trees and intricate pavilions, and Chashme Shahi with its natural spring waters are all must-visits. Later, indulge in a shikara ride on the iconic Dal Lake, where you can visit floating gardens, see local craftsmen, and experience the unique lifestyle of the locals.

 

Day 12: Srinagar to Gulmarg (56km)

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Gulmarg, a paradise for skiing enthusiasts during winters. Take a gondola ride to Khilanmarg Snow Point, offering panoramic views of the snow-clad peaks of the Pir Panjal range. Spend the evening at leisure, exploring local handicraft markets or indulging in local Kashmiri cuisine.

 

Day 13: Gulmarg to Pahalgam (142km)

Drive to Pahalgam, known as the 'Valley of Shepherds'. En route, visit Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood movie "Betaab" shot here. Stroll along the Lidder River, enjoying the tranquil surroundings and the refreshing mountain air.

 

Day 14: Leisure in Pahalgam

Today is at leisure. You can opt for a short trek to Aru Valley, known for its scenic beauty and meadows, or visit Chandanwari, the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage. In the evening, relax at your hotel, perhaps by a bonfire under the starlit sky.

 

Day 15: Pahalgam to Srinagar (83km)

After a leisurely breakfast amidst the picturesque landscapes of Pahalgam, return to Srinagar. Spend the day at your own pace, exploring local markets for souvenirs like Pashmina shawls, handcrafted jewelry, or intricate Kashmiri handicrafts.

 

Day 16: Srinagar to Delhi/Agra (110kms drive)

Post breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Upon landing in Delhi, meet your driver and proceed to Agra. The city of Agra, renowned for its Mughal-era architecture, is a testament to India's rich history. Check into your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Agra.

 

Day 17: Agra to Delhi (204km)

Wake up early to witness the sunrise at the iconic Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a symbol of eternal love. After capturing this mesmerizing sight, return to your hotel for breakfast. Post breakfast, visit Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage site showcasing Mughal architecture at its best. Later, explore Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb, also known as the Baby Taj, a precursor to the Taj Mahal with intricate marble work and beautiful gardens. In the afternoon, embark on your drive back to Delhi, where you can either catch your onward flight or extend your stay to explore more of this vibrant capital city.
