Day 1: Colombo - Arrival and City Tour

Upon your arrival at Colombo airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. After check-in and some rest, embark on a city tour of Colombo. Explore the bustling streets, visit historic landmarks like the Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, and the Old Parliament Building. Discover the vibrant markets and indulge in some shopping for local handicrafts and souvenirs. Immerse yourself in the diverse culture and vibrant atmosphere of this cosmopolitan city. Overnight stay in Colombo.

 

Day 2: Colombo - Anuradhapura (206kms / 5hrs approx)

After breakfast, depart for Anuradhapura, an ancient city of great historical and cultural significance. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and take some time to relax. In the afternoon, set off to explore the sacred ancient city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvel at the ancient stupas, towering dagobas, and intricately carved stone sculptures that reflect the rich Buddhist heritage of Sri Lanka. Visit the revered Sri Maha Bodhi tree, believed to be the oldest recorded tree in the world. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.

 

Day 3: Anuradhapura - Mihintale - Aukana - Habarana

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Habarana, with fascinating stops along the way. Visit Mihintale, a mountain peak considered the cradle of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. After descending from Sigiriya, proceed to Polonnaruwa, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka. Day 5: Habarana - Dambulla - Kandy

After breakfast, depart for Dambulla to visit the famous Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Admire the stunning cave paintings and statues that depict the life of Lord Buddha. Continue your journey to Kandy, stopping en route at a Spice Garden in Matale. Day 6: Kandy - Pinnawala - Nuwara Eliya

Afterward, continue your journey to Nuwara Eliya, also known as "Little England." En route, visit a tea plantation and factory to learn about the process of tea production. Day 7: Nuwara Eliya - Yala National Park (197kms / 4hrs approx)

Upon arrival at Yala, check in at the hotel and enjoy some leisure time. Day 8: Yala - Bentota (241kms / 5hrs approx)

Day 9: Bentota - Colombo Airport (96kms / 2hrs approx)
