Day 1: Arrival in Mumbai

Upon arriving at Mumbai airport, our representative will warmly greet you and facilitate your transfer to your chosen hotel. Once you've checked in, you can either unwind at the hotel or venture out to explore the bustling local markets and dine at some of Mumbai's iconic restaurants, sampling local delicacies like Pav Bhaji and Vada Pav.

 

Day 2: Mumbai Exploration

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a full-day city tour starting at the Gateway of India, Mumbai's iconic monument overlooking the Arabian Sea. From here, take a ferry to Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its ancient Hindu and Buddhist sculptures and cave temples. Return to Mumbai to visit the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a historic railway station known for its Victorian Gothic architecture. Continue your exploration by wandering through the vibrant streets of Colaba and Marine Drive, soaking in the city's lively atmosphere.

 

Day 3: Mumbai to Nashik (170kms/ 4hrs)

After breakfast, depart for Nashik, known as the wine capital of India and a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and then head to Trimbakeshwar Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. Later in the day, enjoy a wine tasting experience at Sula Vineyards, learning about Nashik's wine-making history and tasting some of its finest wines.

 

Day 4: Nashik to Aurangabad (170kms/ 4hrs)

Begin your day with a visit to the Panchvati Temple Complex in Nashik, which includes the Kalaram Temple, a magnificent black stone temple dedicated to Lord Rama, and Sita Gufa, a cave believed to be the exile spot of Sita during the Ramayana period. After exploring Nashik, drive to Aurangabad, where you'll visit the Bibi Ka Maqbara, a beautiful mausoleum often referred to as the "Taj of the Deccan" due to its striking resemblance to the Taj Mahal. Day 5: Aurangabad to Ellora (60kms/ 1hr approx one way)

Today, explore the UNESCO-listed Ellora Caves, an exceptional complex of rock-cut caves and temples spanning Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain religions. Admire the architectural brilliance of the Kailash Temple, a monolithic rock-cut temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, and explore the Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Conclude your Ellora visit with a tour of the imposing Daulatabad Fort, known for its strategic architecture and fascinating history.

 

Day 6: Aurangabad to Ajanta to Burhanpur (220kms/ 5hrs approx)

Embark on a day trip to the UNESCO-listed Ajanta Caves, a collection of 30 rock-cut Buddhist caves famous for their exquisite paintings and sculptures depicting the life of Buddha. Marvel at the intricate details and ancient artistry on display. Day 7: Burhanpur to Asirgarh to Omkareshwar to Maheshwar (175kms/ 4hrs approx)

Start your day with a visit to Asirgarh Fort in Burhanpur, an ancient hilltop fort offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Continue your journey to Omkareshwar, a revered island temple on the Narmada River. Visit the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple and experience the spiritual atmosphere of this sacred site. Day 8: Maheshwar to Mandu to Indore (125kms/ 3hrs approx)
