Day 1: Arrival in Cochin

Upon arrival at Cochin airport, you will be met by a representative who will assist you with your transfer to your hotel. After checking in, you will have the evening free to explore the city. In the evening, you will witness a traditional dance form of Kerala, Kathakali, which is known for its elaborate costumes, exotic makeup, masks, and energetic dance moves. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 2: Cochin to Munnar (140kms)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will go on a city tour of Cochin. You will visit Fort Cochin St. Frances Church, Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Dutchs Palace, and Chinese fishing nets. Later, you will drive to Munnar, a beautiful hill station known for its lush tea plantations. Check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 3: Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will visit some of the popular attractions of Munnar. You will visit Pothamedu, a viewpoint that offers stunning views of the tea, coffee, and cardamom plantations, Mattupetty dam, Rajamala hill, Eravikulam National Park, which is known for its rare species of mountain goats, the Nilgiri Tahr, Mattupedi Dairy Farm, Echo Point, and Tea Museum. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 4: Munnar to Thekkady (110kms)

After breakfast, you will drive to Thekkady, a beautiful town known for its wildlife sanctuaries and spice plantations. On the way, you will visit Ramakkalmedu, one of the windiest places in Asia, where you can see a wind farm generating electricity. You will also visit Frog Rock, Turtle Rock, and the highest twin-statue in Kerala called Kuravan & Kurathi. In the evening, you will watch a Martial Arts and Kathakali Dance show. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 5: Thekkady Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will explore the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary on a boat ride. The sanctuary is home to tigers, elephants, rare lion-tailed macaques, sambar deer, leopards, and Indian bison. Later, you will visit a spice plantation to see crops of cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee, etc. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 6: Thekkady to Kumarakom (132kms) and Sailing Boat Cruise to Alleppey 

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Alleppey boat jetty to board a houseboat and sail through the tropical countryside's enchanting backwaters. The houseboat is equipped with electricity, a sitting cum dining area, a separate bedroom with an attached English toilet, a sun deck, and a fully loaded kitchen with a chef and driver. You will enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner on board the houseboat. Overnight stay in the houseboat.

 

Day 7: Kumarakom to Kovalam (190kms)

After breakfast, you will disembark from the houseboat and drive to Kovalam, a beautiful beach town on the Arabian Sea. Check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing on the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 8: Kovalam

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, which is one of the most famous temples in India and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Later, visit the Attukal Temple, which is known for its annual Attukal Pongala festival, and the Napier Museum, which has a great collection of ancient Indian artifacts and artworks. Also, visit Kuthira Malika, which is a palace built by the King of Travancore and has a unique architecture with a combination of traditional Kerala and European styles. In the evening, visit the Sri Chitra Art Gallery, which showcases an impressive collection of paintings by Raja Ravi Varma and other Indian artists. Finally, drive through famous beaches Shankumugham Beach, Kovalam Beach & Vizhinjam lighthouse. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 9: Kovalam

This day is free for you to relax on the beach or explore the city on your own. You can take a leisurely walk on the beach, indulge in some water sports, or simply relax at the hotel. Alternatively, you can visit nearby markets and shop for souvenirs or enjoy some local cuisine. Overnight stay at the hotel.
