Day 1: Mumbai

Welcome to Mumbai, the bustling metropolis and financial capital of India. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will escort you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the city on your own.

 

Day 2: Mumbai

After breakfast, start your city tour of Mumbai. Visit the iconic Gateway of India, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (UNESCO World Heritage Site), and the Crawford Market. In the afternoon, visit the Banganga Tank, a historic water tank and pilgrimage site, and then explore the Colaba area, known for its churches and heritage landmarks. You can also visit the Rajabai Clock Tower, the Flora Fountain, and the Asiatic Society of Mumbai. Return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay.

 

Day 3: Mumbai - Aurangabad (flight) - Ellora Caves, Jyotirlinga Temple, and Daulatabad Fort

After breakfast, board a flight to Aurangabad. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and then proceed for a full-day excursion to Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These rock-cut caves date back to the 6th and 10th centuries and are known for their exquisite sculptures and architecture. Afterward, visit the Jyotirlinga Temple, a famous Hindu pilgrimage site. Later, visit the Daulatabad Fort, a medieval hill fort with a fascinating history. Return to the hotel in Aurangabad for an overnight stay.

 

Day 4: Aurangabad - Ajanta Caves - Aurangabad (210kms round)

After an early breakfast at the hotel in Aurangabad, you'll embark on a full-day excursion to the Ajanta Caves, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ajanta Caves are a series of 29 rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments, which date back to the 2nd century BC. The caves are known for their beautiful paintings and sculptures, which are a perfect example of Indian art. Your guide will take you on a tour of the site, explaining the significance of each cave, the stories depicted in the paintings and sculptures, and the history of the caves themselves. You'll have ample time to explore each cave, admire the intricate details of the paintings and sculptures, and soak in the serene atmosphere of this ancient site. After exploring the caves, you'll return to Aurangabad for an overnight stay at your hotel.

 

Day 5: Aurangabad - Hyderabad (flight) - Charminar, Golconda Fort, and Salar Jung Museum

After breakfast, board a flight to Hyderabad. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and then proceed for a city tour. Visit the iconic Charminar, a monument and mosque located in the heart of the city. Later, visit the Golconda Fort, a historic fort and citadel known for its beautiful architecture and acoustics. Finally, visit the Salar Jung Museum, one of the largest museums in India with a vast collection of art, antiques, and artifacts. Return to the hotel in Hyderabad for an overnight stay.

 

Day 6: Hyderabad - Vidyanagar/ Hampi (35kms)

After breakfast, check-out of the hotel and proceed to the airport for your flight to Vidyanagar. Upon arrival, drive to Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

 

Day 7: Hampi

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Hampi. Start with a visit to the magnificent Vitthala Temple, an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vitthala, known for its ornate stone carvings and iconic musical pillars. Next, visit the Hazara Rama Temple, famous for its intricate carvings depicting the Ramayana epic. Then, explore the ancient underground Shiva temple of Badavi Linga and the beautiful Lotus Mahal. In the evening, head to the Hemakuta Hill to enjoy a breathtaking sunset view over the historic ruins of Hampi. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 8: Hampi - Gadag - Lakkundi - Badami (195kms)

After breakfast, check-out of the hotel in Hampi and embark on a scenic drive to Badami. Along the way, stop at the town of Gadag to visit the impressive Trikuteshwara Temple, a 12th-century temple built in the Chalukya architectural style. Next, visit the small village of Lakkundi, known for its ancient temples and stunning architecture. Here, you can explore the beautiful ornate temples and see intricate carvings and sculptures. Afterward, continue your drive to Badami and check-in at your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure, perhaps taking a stroll around the town or enjoying a sunset view of the nearby lake.

 

Day 9: Hampi - Badami (195kms)

After breakfast at the hotel in Hampi, you will drive towards Badami, a city famous for its ancient rock-cut temples and other historical monuments. On the way, you will make a stop to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pattadakal, which is home to a group of beautifully carved 8th century CE Hindu and Jain temples. You will also visit Aihole, a historical village known for its many ancient temples, including the Durga Temple, which is one of the oldest surviving temples in India. Later, continue your drive to Badami and check in to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city and its many attractions.

 

Day 10: Badami

After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the famous rock-cut temples of Badami. The temples are dedicated to various Hindu deities and were built between the 6th and 8th centuries CE. They are a fine example of Indian rock-cut architecture and are considered to be some of the finest in the country. You will also visit the nearby Bhutanatha Temple and the Agastya Lake, which are both beautiful sites. In the afternoon, you can explore the local markets and indulge in some shopping.

 

Day 11: Badami - Goa (235kms)

After breakfast, you will drive towards Goa, a coastal state known for its beaches, nightlife, and Portuguese influence. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. You can relax on the beach, take a stroll in the local markets, or explore the nearby attractions.

 

Day 12: Goa

After breakfast, you can spend the day exploring Goa and its many attractions. You can visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier, the famous 16th century Catholic missionary. You can also visit the Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia, and the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, which is known for its beautiful Baroque architecture. Fort Aguada, a 17th century Portuguese fort that offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. You can also visit the Goa State Museum, which showcases the rich history and culture of Goa. You can also explore the local markets, beaches, and other attractions.

 

Day 13: Goa

 

This day is at leisure for you to explore Goa on your own. You can visit the beautiful beaches of North Goa such as Baga, Calangute, and Anjuna or head to the less crowded beaches of South Goa such as Palolem, Colva, and Benaulim. You can also visit the churches and cathedrals in Old Goa, take a river cruise on the Mandovi River, indulge in some water sports, or simply relax and enjoy the local cuisine. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 14: Goa - Mumbai/Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport in Goa to catch your flight to Mumbai for your onward journey. This marks the end of your tour.
