Day 1: Arrival in Gorakhpur - Transfer to Kushinagar (50kms)

Upon landing at Gorakhpur airport, our warm and welcoming representative will greet you. We'll then embark on a scenic drive to Kushinagar, a quaint town steeped in Buddhist history. The journey offers glimpses of rural India, with lush fields and bustling villages lining the route. Once we reach Kushinagar, we'll assist you with checking into your hotel, a comfortable retreat amidst the tranquil surroundings. After settling down, feel free to unwind and explore the local surroundings at your leisure.

 

Day 2: Kushinagar to Lumbini Journey (180kms)

After a refreshing breakfast at the hotel, our day's journey begins with a visit to the Mahaparinirvana Temple. This iconic temple, with its grand architecture, marks the place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana. Inside, you'll find a magnificent 6-meter-long reclining statue of Lord Buddha, exuding a sense of peace and serenity. Following this, we'll proceed to the Ramabhar Stupa, also known as Mukutbandhan Chaitya, a sacred site enveloped in tranquility where Lord Buddha was cremated.

Continuing our spiritual journey, we'll explore the tranquil Japanese Temple known for its unique blend of Japanese and Indian architectural styles. The temple's serene ambiance offers a perfect setting for meditation and reflection. Our next stop is the Kushinagar Museum, a treasure trove of Buddhist artifacts and relics, providing insights into the rich Buddhist heritage of the region.

In the afternoon, we'll set off for Lumbini, the revered birthplace of Lord Buddha, covering a distance of 180 kilometers. As we traverse through scenic landscapes, you'll have the opportunity to soak in the natural beauty and rural charm of the region. Upon reaching Lumbini, you'll check into your hotel, a peaceful sanctuary nestled amidst lush gardens, and the rest of the evening will be yours to relax and reflect on the day's experiences.

 

Day 3: Exploring Lumbini

After enjoying a wholesome breakfast, we'll commence our day with a visit to the Mayadevi Temple. This sacred temple stands at the exact spot where Lord Buddha was born, surrounded by picturesque gardens and serene ponds. Inside the temple, you'll find a beautiful statue of the infant Buddha, a symbol of hope and enlightenment. Our exploration will then take us to the Ashoka Pillar, an ancient monument erected by Emperor Ashoka in 249 BC. This iconic pillar, with its inscriptions and carvings, serves as a testament to Emperor Ashoka's devotion and pilgrimage to Lumbini.

Day 4: Departure - Lumbini to Gorakhpur (135kms)

After savoring a delicious breakfast, it's time to conclude our spiritual journey. We'll check out from the hotel in Lumbini and embark on our return journey to Gorakhpur, covering a distance of 135 kilometers. As we traverse through scenic landscapes, you'll have one last opportunity to soak in the natural beauty and rural charm of the region. Upon reaching Gorakhpur, our representative will ensure a hassle-free transfer to the airport, assisting you with the necessary arrangements for your onward journey.
