Day 1: Arrival in Colombo, Transfer to Negombo

Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, our representative will warmly greet you and assist with your transfer to Negombo. Check-in at your hotel, where you can unwind on the beautiful beaches, stroll along the Negombo Lagoon, or explore the vibrant town's fish markets and colonial architecture. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan seafood dinner at a beachfront restaurant.

Day 2: Explore Anuradhapura and Mihintale

Following breakfast, journey to Anuradhapura, an ancient UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the sacred sites like Sri Maha Bodhi, known for its sacred fig tree, Ruwanwelisaya Stupa, Jetavanaramaya, and Abhayagiri Vihara. In the afternoon, visit Mihintale, a significant pilgrimage site offering stunning views from its rocky summit and the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Later, explore the Isurumuniya Rock Temple, known for its ancient carvings, serene surroundings, and the beautiful Isurumuniya Lovers sculpture.

 

Day 3: Visit Polonnaruwa Ancient City and Minneriya National Park

After breakfast, travel to Polonnaruwa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore well-preserved ruins, including the Royal Palace, Gal Vihara with its impressive rock-cut Buddha statues, and the Sacred Quadrangle featuring the Vatadage and Hatadage. In the afternoon, embark on an exciting jeep safari in Minneriya National Park to witness the gathering of wild elephants, known as "The Gathering." Day 4: Travel to Kandy, Visit the Temple of the Tooth and Kandy Lake

Enjoy a traditional Kandyan cultural show featuring drummers, dancers, and fire performers.

 

Day 5: Head to Nuwara Eliya, Enjoy Tea Plantations and Scenic Views

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as "Little England." Visit a tea plantation and factory to learn about the tea production process and taste some fresh Ceylon tea. Relish the breathtaking views of rolling hills, lush landscapes, and cascading waterfalls like St. Clair's Falls and Devon Falls. Optional: Explore the beautiful Hakgala Botanical Garden and Gregory Lake, offering boating and recreational activities. Visit the Seetha Amman Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Sita from the Hindu epic Ramayana.

 

Day 6: Visit Horton Plains National Park and Ella

After breakfast, visit Horton Plains National Park, known for its stunning landscapes and endemic flora and fauna. Embark on a guided hike to World's End, a magnificent cliff offering panoramic views of the plains and distant hills. Explore Baker's Falls, a scenic waterfall cascading through lush greenery. Day 7-9: Relax on the Beaches of Bentota or Mirissa

Following breakfast, transfer to the pristine beaches of Bentota or Mirissa. Enjoy three days at your leisure, basking in the sun, swimming in crystal-clear waters, and partaking in water sports activities like snorkeling, diving, and jet-skiing. Optional: Take a boat ride along the Madu River, explore its mangrove forests and visit the Cinnamon Island, visit the Bentota Turtle Hatchery to learn about conservation efforts, indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment, or take a day trip to Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore its colonial architecture, museums, and art galleries.

 

Day 10: Return to Colombo, City Tour, and Departure

After breakfast, return to Colombo. Embark on a city tour and visit popular attractions, including the Galle Face Green, a seaside urban park, Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Square, the bustling markets of Pettah, and Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct. Enjoy some last-minute shopping for souvenirs, local handicrafts, and indulge in a culinary experience at a local restaurant. In the evening, we'll transfer you to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your enriching cultural, wildlife, and beach tour in Sri Lanka.
