Day 1: Kolkata

Upon arrival at Kolkata airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, embark on a city tour of Kolkata. Visit iconic sites such as Victoria Memorial, Howrah Bridge, Indian Museum, Marble Palace, Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity, and the bustling markets of New Market and College Street. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere and architectural marvels of this cultural capital.

 

Day 2: Kolkata - Bagdogra/Darjeeling (70km)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival, proceed to Darjeeling and check in at your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, taking in the scenic beauty of this hill station.

 

Day 3: Darjeeling

Start your day early with an excursion to Tiger Hill, where you can witness the breathtaking sunrise over the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. Afterward, visit popular attractions in Darjeeling, such as the Ghoom Monastery, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and the famous Darjeeling Tea Gardens.

 

Day 4: Darjeeling - Pelling (75km)

Embark on a picturesque drive to Pelling, known for its panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy sightseeing in Pelling, including visits to Pemayangtse Monastery, Khecheopalri Lake, and Rabdentse Ruins.

 

Day 5: Pelling - Gangtok (120km)

Drive to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and spend the day exploring Gangtok's attractions. Visit Enchey Monastery, Do Drul Chorten, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, and the vibrant markets of the city.

 

Day 6: Gangtok

Enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Gangtok. Visit the beautiful Tsomgo Lake, situated at an altitude of 12,400 feet, and explore the Baba Mandir. In the afternoon, explore the city's other attractions, including Tashi Viewpoint, Ganesh Tok, and Hanuman Tok.

 

Day 7: Gangtok - Kalimpong (75km)

Drive to the charming hill town of Kalimpong. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and embark on a sightseeing tour, visiting attractions such as Durpin Dara Hill, Deolo Hill, Flower Nurseries, and the famous Zang Dhok Palri Phodang Monastery.

 

Day 8: Kalimpong - Bagdogra (75km)/ Guwahati

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Guwahati. Upon arrival, enjoy a magnificent sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River. Marvel at the scenic beauty and tranquility as you unwind on the cruise.

 

Day 9: Guwahati - Kaziranga NP (200km)

Begin the day with sightseeing in Guwahati, exploring Kamakhya Temple, Navagraha Temple, and the Assam State Museum. Afterward, drive to Kaziranga National Park, famous for its population of the one-horned rhinoceros and other wildlife species.

 

Day 10: Kaziranga NP

Embark on thrilling morning and afternoon safaris in Kaziranga National Park, allowing you to observe the diverse wildlife, including the iconic one-horned rhinoceros, tigers, elephants, and a variety of bird species.

 

Day 11: Kaziranga NP - Majuli (150kms)

Drive to Nimathi-Ghat and cross the mighty Brahmaputra River by ferry to reach Kamalabari-Ghat. From there, proceed to Majuli, the largest river island in the world. Explore the cultural heritage and natural beauty of Majuli.

 

Day 12: Majuli - Benreu (260kms)

Transfer to Kamalabari Ghat to connect with a ferry to reach Nimathi-Ghat. From here, drive to Benreu village, which is a Zeliang Naga village. Enjoy the serene surroundings and interact with the locals to learn about their unique culture and way of life.

 

Day 13: Benreu

Embark on a hike to Mt. Pauna, a moderate-to-tough trek that takes about 2 to 3 hours each way. Enjoy the scenic views along the way and immerse yourself in nature. In the evening, participate in cooking dinner with your host and experience the local culinary traditions. Overnight homestay in Benreu.

 

Day 14: Benreu - Poilwa - Dzuleke

Walk down through the village for about half an hour, meet your car, and drive to Poilwa village (25km, approximately 2 hours). From Poilwa, embark on a hike through the jungle to reach Dzuleke village (2 hours). Explore the picturesque village and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.

 

Day 15: Dzuleke - Khonoma

After breakfast, walk and drive to Khonoma village, known as the first green village of India. Experience the rich cultural heritage and eco-friendly practices of the village. Visit the Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tragopan Sanctuary and learn about the community's efforts in conservation and sustainable living.

 

Day 16: Khonoma - Dimapur (95kms)

Drive to Dimapur airport to board your flight back to Kolkata, concluding your memorable journey through the diverse landscapes and cultural gems of Northeast India.
