Day 1: Mumbai Arrival
Upon your arrival in Mumbai, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After some rest, you will embark on a city tour that covers some of Mumbai's most famous landmarks like the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Prince of Wales Museum, known for its collection of ancient Indus Valley artifacts, the Mani Bhawan, a museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, and the Dhobi Ghat, a bustling open-air laundry.
Day 2: Mumbai - Ahmedabad (flight)
After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for a flight to Ahmedabad. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, and the rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore the city on your own.
Day 3: Ahmedabad Sightseeing
Today, you will explore Ahmedabad, which is known for its rich history and culture. You will visit the Hatheesing Jain Temple, a 19th-century temple with intricate marble carvings, the Bhadra Fort, which houses several government offices and a beautiful palace, the Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, known for its intricate stone lattice work, the Sabarmati Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi spent a considerable amount of time, the Kite Museum, which houses a collection of colorful kites from different parts of the world, and the Vechaar Utensils Museum, which showcases a collection of traditional Indian utensils.
Day 4: Ahmedabad - Dasada (260kms)
After breakfast, you will drive to Dasada, a small town in Gujarat, known for its wildlife sanctuary. En route, you will visit the Adalaj Stepwell, a beautiful example of Indo-Islamic architecture, the Rani ki Vav, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its intricate carvings, and the Modhera Sun Temple, dedicated to the Hindu Sun God, Surya. Upon arrival in Dasada, you will check-in at your hotel.
Day 5: Dasada - Little Rann of Kutch - Dasada
Today, you will embark on a safari in the Little Rann of Kutch, a unique landscape, known for its wildlife, including the endangered Indian Wild Ass. You will also get a chance to observe some of the rare birds and other animals that inhabit this area.
Day 6: Dasada - Bhuj (260kms)
After breakfast, you will drive to Bhuj, a city known for its rich cultural heritage. Upon arrival, you will check-in at your hotel and then visit the Aaina Mahal Palace, a beautiful palace with European and Indian architectural elements, the Prag Mahal, a palace built in the Italian Gothic style, the Shri Swaminarayan Temple, a Hindu temple known for its intricate carvings, and the Ramkund stepwell, a beautiful example of Indian engineering.
Day 7: Bhuj - Hodka (65kms)
Today, you will visit Nirona Village, known for its Rogan art, a traditional art form that involves painting on fabric. Later, you will drive to Hodka and check-in at your hotel.
Day 8: Hodka - White Rann of Kutch - Hodka
After breakfast, you will proceed for an excursion to the White Rann of Kutch salt marsh in the Thar Desert. This is a unique experience, as the salt flats are completely white and barren, creating a beautiful and surreal landscape. You will also visit a few nearby villages to observe the local way of life and handicrafts. Return to the hotel in Hodka for overnight stay.
Day 9: Hodka - Gondal (300kms)
After breakfast, you will drive to Gondal, a historic town in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. Gondal was once a princely state and has a rich cultural heritage, with many interesting sights to explore. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and enjoy leisure time for personal activities.
Day 10: Gondal Sightseeing
After breakfast, you will visit Naulakha Palace, a beautiful 18th-century palace built in a fusion of European and Indian architectural styles. You will also visit the collection of vintage and classic cars in the Huzoor Palace estate, which has an impressive collection of over 100 cars, including Rolls Royces, Bentleys, and Mercedes Benz. Overnight stay at the hotel in Gondal.
Day 11: Gondal - Sasan Gir (150kms)
After breakfast, you will drive to Sasan Gir, the only place in the world outside Africa where lions can be seen in their natural habitat. En route, you will visit the temple-studded Girnar Hill in Junagadh, which has over 900 temples and is considered a holy site for Jains and Hindus. Upon arrival in Sasan Gir, check-in at the hotel.
Day 12: Sasan Gir Safari
After breakfast, you will embark on a gypsy safari in the Gir Wildlife Sanctuary, where you will have a chance to see lions, as well as other wildlife such as leopards, antelopes, and crocodiles. The safari is a unique and exciting experience, as you will be able to observe the animals in their natural habitat. Overnight stay at the hotel in Sasan Gir.
Day 13: Sasan Gir - Bhavnagar (225kms)
After breakfast, you will drive to Bhavnagar, a port city on the Gulf of Cambay. En route, you will visit the Palitana Temples, a complex of over 860 temples located on Shatrunjaya Hill. The temples are an important pilgrimage site for Jains and are known for their intricate marble carvings. Upon arrival in Bhavnagar, check-in at the hotel.
Day 14: Bhavnagar - Vadodara (260kms)
After breakfast, you will visit the Gandhi Smriti and Barton Museum, which is dedicated to the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, as well as the history and culture of the region. You will then drive to Vadodara, stopping en route to visit the archaeological remains of the Harappa Port-Town at Lothal, an important site of the Indus Valley Civilization. Upon arrival in Vadodara, you will visit Lakshmi Vilas Palace, Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum, and Kirti Mandir. Overnight stay at the hotel in Vadodara.
Day 15: Vadodara - Kevadia (145kms)
After breakfast, drive to Kevadia and visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pavagadh-Champaner. Check-in at the hotel on arrival and visit Sardar Sarovar Dam, Selfie Point & Valley of Flowers. In the evening, enjoy the Light & Sound show.
Day 16: Kevadia - Vadodara (90kms)/ Mumbai (flight)
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to Vadodara for the onward journey or take a flight to Mumbai for departure. This concludes the tour.
