Day 1: Arrive Kolkata

Upon arrival at Kolkata Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Take some time to rest and relax, and in the afternoon, embark on a city tour to explore the vibrant streets and historical landmarks of Kolkata.

 

Day 2: Kolkata

Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Kolkata as you explore its iconic landmarks, including Victoria Memorial, Howrah Bridge, Indian Museum, and Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity. Dive into the bustling markets and savor the delectable street food that Kolkata is famous for.

 

Day 3: Kolkata - Bagdogra/ Darjeeling (62kms)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival, proceed to Darjeeling, a charming hill station known for its tea gardens and panoramic views. Check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, strolling through the town's enchanting streets.

 

Day 4: Darjeeling

Wake up early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas from Tiger Hill. Visit the Ghoom Monastery, explore the Happy Valley Tea Estate, and take a joy ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, also known as the "Toy Train." Day 5: Darjeeling - Pelling (75kms)

Day 6: Pelling - Gangtok (120kms)

Continue your journey as you drive through the picturesque landscapes, passing lush green forests and tea gardens, towards Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Along the way, marvel at the beauty of Temi Tea Garden and enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding valleys. Upon arrival in Gangtok, check in at your hotel and unwind for the evening.

 

Day 7: Gangtok

Embark on an exciting excursion to Tsongmo Lake, a glacial lake renowned for its mesmerizing beauty. Visit the Do Drul Chorten, a significant Buddhist stupa, and explore the Himalayan Zoological Park, home to rare wildlife species. End your day with a visit to the bustling Lal Bazaar, where you can shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs.

 

Day 8: Gangtok - Kalimpong (75kms)

Discover the charms of Kalimpong as you visit Rumtek Monastery, Enchey Monastery, Bakthang Waterfall, Tashi Viewpoint, and Ganesh Tok. Enjoy the scenic drive to Kalimpong, surrounded by lush green hills and tea plantations. Check in at your hotel and soak in the serene ambiance of this quaint town.

 

Day 9: Kalimpong - Bagdogra (75kms)/ Guwahati

Embark on a city tour of Kalimpong, exploring its monasteries, flower markets, and colonial-era architecture. Later, transfer to Bagdogra airport for your flight to Guwahati. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax for the evening.

 

Day 10: Guwahati - Kaziranga NP (200kms)

Embark on a city tour of Guwahati, exploring its ancient temples, such as Kamakhya Temple and Umananda Temple. Afterwards, drive to Kaziranga National Park and check in at your hotel. Enjoy a relaxing evening and prepare for your wildlife adventure the next day.

 

Day 11: Kaziranga NP

Embark on morning and afternoon safaris in Kaziranga National Park, home to the iconic one-horned rhinoceros and various other wildlife species. Explore the park's diverse landscapes, including grasslands, marshes, and dense forests, as you spot elephants, tigers, deer, and numerous bird species.

 

Day 12: Kaziranga NP - Majuli (150kms)

After breakfast, drive to Nimati Ghat and take a ferry to reach Majuli, the world's largest river island located in the Brahmaputra River. Transfer to your lodge and check in. Spend the day exploring the unique cultural and spiritual heritage of Majuli, visiting the Vaishnavite Satras (monastic institutions) and interacting with the locals.

 

Day 13: Majuli - Jorhat (40kms)

Bid farewell to Majuli and take a ferry back to Nimati Ghat. From there, proceed to Jorhat and check in at your hotel. Embark on a city tour of Jorhat, visiting historical sites, tea gardens, and the vibrant local markets. Immerse yourself in the rich tea culture of Assam and learn about the region's colonial past.

 

Day 14: Jorhat - Kolkata (flight)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Kolkata. Upon arrival, your tour concludes. You may continue your onward journey or choose to explore more of Kolkata's cultural delights at your own leisure.
